Cirkay teams up with Nowhere metaverse for artist rewards

We wrote about startup Cirkay earlier this year when it unveiled its ‘Fan Pass’ technology, used by British band The Amazons to sell 100 ‘digital box set NFTs’ for their new album.

The idea behind Fan Pass is to help artists offer rewards to fans who buy their NFTs, and now it has a new deal related to that. Cirkay is working with Nowhere, a startup that offers video-chats within its own virtual world.

The deal will see artists working with Cirkay using Nowhere to host meet’n’greets, music video premieres and online performances, as well as fan-created ‘VIP’ gatherings.

The startup says it’s part of a strategy that will involve signing lots more partners to tie in to its Fan Pass. “Our goal is not to be a platform but to allow music fans to connect wherever makes sense to them,” said co-founder Simon Scott.
