‍Google’s Experience Institute (Google XI) and HKS Architects sought to explore how virtual worlds could foster inclusivity, particularly for neurodiverse individuals. They aimed to create a more inclusive event space while educating clients on neuro-inclusion, leveraging innovative virtual environments.

Solution

‍Google XI & HKS partnered with NOWHERE to host hybrid experiences for the XI Days Global Summit. This event kicked off research into how virtual worlds can foster neurodiversity inclusion. The event offered an IRL space with a live projection of the immersive world where guests IRL & URL could interact with each other. NOWHERE’s intuitive setup tools and dynamic spaces allowed participants to move freely throughout the XI spaces, discover hidden features, and engage in activities that catered to various needs and preferences. The success of this collaboration has led to ongoing research and development of a virtual venue designed to educate Google and HKS’s clients about neurodiversity and neuro-inclusion in event design.
